the hotel staff were freindly and helpful with clean well set out room and enjoyable food in a good location within the town .
We stayed at this hotel for one night when there was a big football match on in Torquay - so it was a bit busy but there was no rowdiness or anything. Our rooms were imaculate and we were very lucky to have two rooms facing the sea so we had very nice balconies to sit out on.Our children loved the heated pool. We all enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were all very nice and friendly and helpful giving us directions to town etc. We had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone with children because of the pool (so it didn't matter the weather was poor) A very cosy hotel.
The hotel is rather ugly from the outside which I guess must put some people off. Inside our rooms were modern and tastefully decorated,The public areas were old worldly - just like how an English beachside hotel should be!
good quality for the low price per night. Although i didnt get a sea view i liked the fact it was 5 minutes walk from the sea front and town centre.
the staff were very nice and good at their jobs everyone was very friendly and nothing too much trouble
The staff were really helpful and friendley, I would certainley recommend this hotel to other persons intending to stay in Torquay
it was a small hotel which was up off the main road, still only a five minute walk but away from all the noise which was really nice. The woman running the hotel was very welcoming and the rooms were large with balconies, ours overlooking the sea. All in all a great stay!
The only thing we were disapointed in was the fact that the hotel advertised that they had a pool, which when we went was empty and having renovations on it.
Really friendly staff, especially on arrival. Booked a twin room which had a large double bed and a single. Clean and tidy rooms.
Service at the bar was very disorganised. The hotel advertised all sea rooms but there was none available when we arrived. Also swimming pool was closed and we didn't recieve a discount for either of these. Check-in time - 4pm was far too late.
we both enjoyed our stay very much. thought it was clean and friendly and alot better than we expected for the price.
i was dissapointed that the pool couldnt be used while we were there and the food wasnt all that great but still edible
lovely as single guest to have double room with balcony & sea view, also liked opportunity for informal bar meals, convenient location near seafront & evening entertainment, and all staff really friendly & helpful
not knowing in advance that the swimming pool would be out of action at time of my visit
Good location. Lovely ,spacious room with balcony overlooking Torbay. The staff were very helpful and obliging.
We had to hunt for a table each morning because the nightporter supposedly had not set the tables and chairs for everybody from the night before. An easy solution for this would be to allocate a table to a room number for the duration of the stay.
Friendly manager,sea view balcony.
Breakfast was average.
excellent service and great value for money very7 helpful staff
bathrooms need updating
The room was a good size and the view was very good, position to local amenities is good and the hotel is clean and tidy.
The entertainment is poor and the general information given by the staff about the hotel and restaurant is poor. The welcome is non existent and overall the hotel should review how staff communicate and assist hotel guest to enjoy the hotels gardens and obvious charm and lovely views. They should have more activity like afternoon tea and cakes and even murder ,mystery and suspense weekends, Its a shame they don"t maximize the location and character of the hotel. Even ballroom dancing would be fun
Not very much glad it was one night only
Food ordering shambolic. Most uncomfortable bed ever .Dreadful creaking floor .
staff were extremely helpful and friendly, bedroom was v.clean and comfortable and the balcony with sea view was amazing!
